Social Media Marketing Intern

We’re excited to welcome a Marketing Intern to the Weddings by Kristy team!
This is a paid internship based in Washington, DC, with the possibility to grow into a part-time employee role. You’ll support our team with social media, content creation, and behind-the-scenes marketing projects that bring the WBK magic to life.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Content creation for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms (recording content, writing captions, selecting photos & videos, creating graphics in Canva, editing short-form video).
- Supporting the development and scheduling of our social media content calendar.
- Helping brainstorm and research creative marketing ideas aligned with our brand voice.
- Capturing and organizing behind-the-scenes content at weddings and events.
- Supporting marketing-related admin tasks such as organizing content and tracking analytics.
- Collaborating with the Weddings by Kristy team to ensure brand consistency across platforms.
- Assisting with blog drafting, website updates, and email marketing campaigns.
- Other projects may be assigned based on your skills and interests.
Qualified candidates will have the following skills and qualities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well-versed in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest)
Basic design skills and comfort using tools like Canva, CapCut, and Instagram's Edits app
"Chronically online" and excited to translate that into creative marketing ideas
A “people person,” excited to connect with others and build relationships
Enthusiasm for weddings, events, and creating joyful client experiences
On event days: Ability to be on the move for 8-10 hours straight with few breaks
Must be able and willing to commute to and from event venues throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Overnight travel may occasionally be required.
