Design Intern

Location: Remote (Preference for New York) 

Reports to: President and Chief Product Officer

The Role: 

As a Design Intern, you will be a creative force behind our user-facing products, responsible for designing and building visually stunning and intuitive web experiences. We are looking for a design specialist who is not only a master of visual craft but also knows how to bring their designs to life with code. You should be passionate about leveraging the latest AI tools to push the boundaries of design and create unique, engaging interfaces. Our goal is to find a visionary designer-developer who will join our team full-time.

What You’ll Do

  • Web Design & Development: Design and code unique and visually compelling websites and user interfaces, from concept to deployment.
  • UI/UX Design: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for new product features, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • AI-Enhanced Design: Utilize AI tools to accelerate your design process, generate creative assets, and explore novel design concepts.
  • Design System Contribution: Help build and maintain our design system in Figma, ensuring consistency and quality across all our products.
  • Collaboration: Work in a tight loop with product and engineering teams to translate ideas into beautiful, functional, and well-implemented designs.

What You’ll Bring

  • Designer Who Codes: An exceptional portfolio showcasing your expertise in both web design and front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). You must be able to build what you design.
  • AI-Native Designer: A strong interest and experience in using AI tools within your design workflow is essential. You see AI as a creative partner.
  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of December 2025.
  • Visual Excellence: A sophisticated eye for design, with a deep understanding of typography, layout, color, and interaction design.
  • Figma Mastery: Proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping.
  • A Builder’s Mindset: You are passionate about creating world-class web experiences and are always looking for new ways to innovate.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Svelte, React).
  • A passion for data visualization, FinTech, or sports.
  • Experience creating motion graphics or micro-interactions.
