Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative contributes to the success of MCA’s sales department by assisting the Sales Team with product knowledge, competitive registrations, product alignment, and quotation and presentation services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with MCA Sales Team, Customers, and Vendors
- Facilitate External Customer sales requests.
- Research products, availability, and compatibility for Sales Rep quotations
- Perform deal-registrations and provide vendor follow-up.
- Participate in sales-pipeline and trending
- Build quotes for External Sales Reps for complicated projects, proposals, and RFP’s
- Identify compatibility issues, missing components and improve “attach” opportunities.
- Work with procurement team to effectively hand-off approved quote for procurement.
Qualifications:
- Effective time management capabilities
- 2+ years in an external, customer-facing sales role
- Exceptional writing and language skills. Ability to convey value through written and oral presentation.
- Understanding of profit margin, calculating TCO, ROI
- Strong technical product understanding. Network equipment (switches, routers, wireless, firewalls). Server hardware (CPU CORE, RAM, RAID, SSD/NLSAS, optimized architecture). Server software – Windows Server, VMWARE virtualization, SQL, Client Access Licensing. Office 365 products and usage – OneDrive, Exchange, Office.
- Strong peripheral understanding – UPS, Printers, Scanners, Monitors, etc.
- Ability to attend conferences (2 times yearly) and online training, monthly webinars.
A successful Inside Sales Representative develops a process to ensure the quick and accurate fulfillment of quote requests to “house” and “rep” account base. Typical quote requests are handled within a business day while registrations and enterprise configs are delayed solely by the vendor. A successful quote is “buttoned up” to the point that it can easily be sent to the procurement team with no need for back and forth between procurement and solutions.
