One Community One Goal (OCOG) Internship at The Miami-Dade Beacon Council
THE MIAMI-DADE BEACON COUNCIL
The Beacon Council is Miami-Dade County’s official economic development organization charged with creating jobs for the community by attracting new companies in the county and assisting existing businesses to expand.
ABOUT ONE COMMUNITY ONE GOAL
The purpose of One Community One Goal is to grow higher-paying jobs and investment in Miami-Dade County by focusing on target industries, education and entrepreneurship. The One Community One Goal initiative has been crafted by the citizens of Miami-Dade County from the private sector, public sector, industries, and academia. The process of bringing everyone together in the One Community One Goal planning and implementation process has resulted in an unprecedented level of collaboration across the County.
INTERNSHIP:
• For credit
• Located at The Beacon Council offices
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Provide support for all OCOG activities and Report to the Community
• Coordinate OCOG schedules and communications
• Help with project management and analyze results
• Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets/documents
• Provide weekly updates and monthly newsletter contributions
• Use social media to help brand OCOG and the output of this initiative
• Participate and support community outreach
• Provide projects support as requested
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Highly organized, effective communication skills, driven, hard working, and ability to handle pressure with a sense of humor.
• Portray a high level of maturity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
• Must be able to be given a task and run with it; producing a high quality product by a given deadline.
• Be passionate about what you do. Strong Computer skills knowledge
