Compliance Intern, New York

 

The Compliance team plays a critical role in ensuring that the firm adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies while supporting the firm’s trading businesses. As a Compliance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience monitoring trading activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the firm’s operational integrity. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the compliance framework of a leading global hedge fund.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team with daily tasks and projects, maintaining compliance files and records while learning about regulatory and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct transaction reviews, surveillance, and internal investigations, playing a key role in identifying and addressing compliance issues.
  • Prepare detailed transaction review and surveillance reports, providing valuable insights to senior compliance management.
  • Work alongside senior compliance professionals on regulatory interactions and assist in preparing filings and reports, gaining exposure to high-level compliance operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to adapt to situations quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strives for continuous improvement

 

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
