About the Role
We’re looking for a curious, driven, and people-savvy Program Correspondent Intern to join our growing research and editorial team. This position is ideal for someone interested in both criminal justice and technology and who enjoys investigative work, interviews, and writing clear, actionable reports.
Responsibilities
Research existing and emerging technology programs in U.S. police and sheriff departments
Conduct outreach to law enforcement agencies and request program information
Schedule and assist in interviews with law enforcement professionals
Write Tried & Tested reports
Compensation
$75 per completed report
Reports must be:
Fully researched
Professionally written (AI use okay)
Approved for publishing by managers
Maximum of $525/month in total compensation
Who You Are
A strong, clear writer who can break down complex topics
Comfortable with cold outreach, interview scheduling, and professional communication
Interested in law enforcement, tech programs, and field research
Pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Criminal Justice, Journalism, Public Policy, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage deadlines independently
