System Application Auditor

We offer seasonal and year-round paid internships with our audit teams across the state. length of internships is flexible but is scheduled to be three (3) months, with the potential to be extended.



 

About the Role

The System Application Auditors audit the software applications used across the State. We independently audit and pinpoint application vulnerabilities. We assist the financial and compliance auditor’s opinion by scrutinizing application controls and identifying critical risks.  We analyze the strength of application-level security.

Join our training series and contribute to our mission of government transparency.  You’ll quickly gain hands-on experience, working under direct supervision and collaborating with experienced IT auditors to deliver valuable results are relied on to provide reasonable assurance of the application system functionality within preset budget and deadline constraints.  This is typically done by designing an audit approach that addresses the key risks and concerns of the financial and federal auditors by:

  • Uncover the relevant information needed for the scope of the audit.  Analyze manual and automated workflows to build a complete and accurate understanding of the targeted area.
  • Deliver reliable and understandable results.  Document relevant information, ensure solid support for audit results and facilitate clear communication with all parties.
  • Deliver reliable assurance by testing controls, both automated and manual, to validate their effectiveness in supporting the audit scope.
