Chivy is making dating great again.

We’re a NYC-based dating app backed by a growing user base, real-world traction, and a values-first mission. Our platform blends AI-powered matchmaking, verified safety, and curated singles events to deliver what dating apps forgot: real outcomes.

We’re in our seed round and growing fast — now looking for a senior software engineer to play a core role in the next stage of our product evolution.

The Role

This is not a “clock in, clock out” engineering job. We’re looking for a product-minded builder who wants to write great code, move fast, and make a dent in how people meet in the modern world.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and product team, contribute across our tech stack, and play a pivotal role in architecting and scaling the app. You won’t be the first engineer—but you’ll be one of the most important ones we bring on.

What You’ll Do

Own and develop core parts of the iOS app in Swift

Contribute across the full stack (backend, APIs, infra)

Ship features fast: AI wingman, video profiles, dynamic events, safety tools

Architect clean, scalable codebases with an eye for long-term velocity

Collaborate directly with product, design, and leadership

Lay foundational code and process for future engineers to build on

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience in Swift/iOS development with shipped apps

Full stack capability (Node.js, Firebase, Python, or similar)

Deep understanding of software architecture and product performance

Ability to thrive in ambiguity and iterate quickly

Obsessive about clean code, testing, and UX quality

Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable owning major systems

Passionate about building products that drive real-world behavior

Bonus Points For

Experience integrating AI features or working with verification tools

Background in dating apps, social platforms, or marketplaces

UI/UX sensibility and ability to work with Figma/design systems

Interest in the psychology of connection, community, or gamification

Compensation

Initial phase: Modest stipend or part-time cash for 1–2 months
