Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with an annual compensation range of $70,000 to $72,000, plus incentives. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills, and experience, and make an offer accordingly.

Can reside in either of these locations, Cerritos, California, Farmer's Branch, Texas, and Miramar, Florida

 

Overview

The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for supporting the product road map and vision and collaborates with the IT team on the daily management of systems and applications used to support the business in the supply chain management function. The PO must have a detailed understanding of the personas, customer journeys, and business processes and will collaborate to ensure proper execution of system implementations to support the business need. Product enhancements are undertaken to design and implement cutting edge supply chain and operational processes that drive business execution efficiencies. This role enables supply chain strategy through execution initiatives and will act as the go-between for multiple cross functional team members as part of the integration activities. The ideal candidate has a strong and well-rounded supply chain foundation and a technical background, and will be successful utilizing strong organizational, communications, prioritization, collaboration, problem solving, analytical, presentation and follow-up skills.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the product vision and road map that aligns with the business strategy
  • Acts as the “Voice of the Customer”, translating customer journey into work that can be consumed by the technical team
  • Assists in the coordination of feedback sessions with various stakeholders to help develop the product road map and identify relevant business value
  • Prioritizes team backlog with manager using economic prioritization
  • Refines and maintains the backlog including description, benefit hypothesis, business context, objectives, key results, and acceptance criteria
  • Approves the work is ready for user acceptance testing and/or production, meeting the “Definition of Done” as outlined by acceptance criteria
  • Supports the team by answering questions on business context and acceptance criteria
  • Supports QA activities including functional unit testing and user acceptance testing
  • Works with cross-functional business, technology, and experience design teams to ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined.
  • Facilitate projects and relationships with technical teams to drive initiatives and meet deadlines while acting as a subject matter expert
  • Partner with functional managers in Supply Chain Management to understand the current and future business requirements; identify and implement process and organizational improvements
  • Working experience utilizing agile methodologies is preferred
  • Proven experience of working with remote teams
  • Experience with project management best practices
  • Experience developing and improving processes
  • Contribute to key requirements, design, and review sessions where aspects of the solution being considered address key elements of the business vision
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and up to three years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Working experience in Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Background in supply chain, replenishment, or logistics
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Thorough problem-solving and investigative skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Timeliness and professionalism
  • The ideal candidate must be flexible to travel as needed (5%)
