We offer seasonal and year-round paid internships with our audit teams across the state. length of internships is flexible but is scheduled to be three (3) months, with the potential to be extended.

Duties
IT Audit Interns work with our Data Analytic Team's staff to prepare financial data for state and local audits, develop data analytics reports, communicate with entity staff, and provide support for more complex IT audit related data procedures. Interns may be involved in several small assignments or one large assignment over the course of the internship. IT Audit Interns will be initially given routine data analysis assignments and work under direct supervision of a higher-level IT Auditor.
Qualifications
Successful Assistant State Auditors come from many backgrounds. We emphasize strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, excellent time management skills, and a strong desire for professional development.
What we are looking for:
Competency in accounting OR finance work
Competency in information systems OR computer science
Have strong computer skills
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Have basic knowledge of SQL (or another programming language)
Demonstration of qualifications can be achieved through formal education, training coursework, or relevant professional work experience.
Preferred candidates will also:
Currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university, and have completed their sophomore year
Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Have intermediate knowledge of SQL (or other programming language)
Have basic knowledge of Power BI or Tableau
Have basic knowledge of Finance or Accounting
