Content and Editorial Intern

The Curvy Fashionista (TCF) is a digital media brand focused on plus-size fashion, lifestyle, and culture. We aim to empower, entertain, and engage our community through authentic storytelling, timely content, and creative campaigns that celebrate body diversity and inclusion.

✍️ Internship Overview

We’re seeking two Content & Editorial Interns who are passionate about writing, media, and the plus-size fashion space. Interns will help scale our editorial output to five posts a day, support the launch of our upcoming TCF Journal, and contribute to evergreen SEO-focused content.

📝 Responsibilities

Research, pitch, and write 1–2 articles per week across style, wellness, entertainment, and lifestyle categories

  • Support editorial calendar management and scheduling
  • Assist in content QA, formatting, and publishing via WordPress
  • Update and optimize older articles for SEO (meta, tags, internal links)
  • Support the editorial development of the new TCF Journal—ideas, research, and contributor coordination
  • Help brainstorm and develop future series and features aligned with our content verticals

🔍 Ideal Candidates

  • Studying Journalism, English, Communications, Media Studies, or related fields
  • Strong writing, grammar, and storytelling skills
  • Passionate about plus-size culture, fashion, and digital media
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Google Docs, and SEO basics is a plus
  • Bonus: Prior blog writing, zines, or campus media experience
