Sales Representative & Administrative Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and organized Sales Representative & Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for providing customer service in person and through phone and email, processing orders, managing accounts, maintaining customer relationships, and developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue. This role also involves coordinating office activities, managing schedules, and assisting team members with various tasks to enhance productivity. This role will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that all administrative functions run smoothly.
Duties
- Organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Prepare and process invoices accurately and on time.
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries with customers and logistics teams.
- Supervise receiving of loads, ensuring quality and quantity checks are completed.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with stock control.
- Interact with customers in person, over the phone, and via email to understand their needs, answer questions, and provide product recommendations
- Process customer orders, including accurately inputting orders into the system, verifying pricing and product availability, and coordinating delivery schedules
- Create and maintain relationships with new customers by providing outstanding service, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets
- Conduct outbound cold calls and prospecting activities to engage with potential customers, introduce our products, and schedule sales appointments
- Utilizing building materials knowledge, to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our products to customers
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop accurate sales forecasts, set realistic sales goals, and track progress towards achieving targets.
Skills
- Previous experience in the lumber, building materials or home improvement sector, such as flooring decking, tiles, moulding
- Customer Service skills
- Experience with client Database systems, Excel and Inventory Navigation
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Preferred)
