Job Title: Social Media Manager (Independent Contractor)

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY (Remote/flexible with local content days)

Reports to: Creative Director

Hours: 15–20 hours/week (flexible but consistent)

Compensation: $15–$20/hour based on experience and content quality

Start Date: August (interviews begin next week)

About the Role

We’re looking for a part-time Social Media Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves visual storytelling, knows how to make content perform, and thrives in an organized, fast-paced environment.


 

You’ll be managing several client accounts—creating strategy, content, and schedules—and capturing photo/video content on-site 1–2x per week. This is a blend of creative execution and strategic thinking, ideal for someone who can bring a brand’s personality to life online.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review each client’s brand, goals, and voice to guide content direction
  • Conduct brand and content audits to inform monthly strategy
  • Define tone, visual direction, and messaging themes
  • Plan content based on client service packages, trends, and promotions
  • Coordinate and shoot content during local content days (1–2x/week)
  • Create Reels, posts, and visuals using Canva and client assets
  • Build and submit content calendars; apply feedback and schedule posts
  • Use tools like Metricool to manage and track content performance
  • Execute organic engagement strategies to boost visibility and reach
  • Maintain timely and friendly communication with our team and clients


 

You Are

  • Creative, organized, and great at capturing aesthetic content
  • Confident filming and directing clients during shoots
  • Up to date on Instagram and TikTok trends
  • Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines
  • Based in or near Saratoga Springs with reliable transportation
  • Bonus: Experience with Canva, Metricool, or similar tools
