Community Impact Intern:
DCA-ORA is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Community Impact Intern: Grants & Data to join our team. This internship is perfect for current university students or recent graduates eager to explore the world of philanthropy, non-profit management, and data-driven social impact. You'll gain invaluable experience by supporting our grant administration and helping us measure the collective impact of community investments. This is a Paid Internship, lasting Up to 6 months, with potential for renewal based on performance and funding.
Ideal for recent graduates willing to work On-Site in Durham NC.
Your Contributions Will Include:
- Grants Administration: Support the full grant lifecycle, from assisting with the review and organization of incoming applications to facilitating communication with our valued applicants and grantees.
- Program Evaluation Support: Help collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess program outcomes and impact.
- Insights & Reporting: Contribute to the development of internal reports, presentations, and other materials that communicate collective impact findings.
- Operational Excellence: Assist in maintaining organized records and improving internal processes for grant management and data collection.
- Learning & Growth: Engage in team discussions and learning sessions, contributing your unique perspective to our ongoing collaborative work.
Who You Are:
- A current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Studies, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Possess strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- An effective communicator, both in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for community engagement and making a tangible difference.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office; basic familiarity with Excel for data entry and simple analysis is a plus.
- A quick learner, adaptable, and eager to take on new challenges.
- Any prior experience with data entry, simple data analysis, or reporting tools.
- Prior volunteer experience or involvement with community-based organizations.
