About our Education Programs Internship:
826 Valencia’s Education Programs Internship is an opportunity to learn about the field of education in a non-profit environment. You will grow your skills as an educator and provide consistent, culturally responsive support to youth from under-resourced communities.
To support hands-on learning, Education Programs Interns receive direct coaching, dedicated training, and professional development throughout their experience. Day to day, interns learn about effective writing instruction by tutoring 2nd-12th grade students in small groups, helping prepare our students’ work for publication, assisting our staff around the classroom, and creating a welcoming, fun, and inclusive atmosphere for student learning.
We are committed to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and we encourage all to apply.
Requirements:
- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, maximum of 20 hours per week for two semesters (Fall 2025 & Spring 2026)

- Ability to attend all required intern training and professional development sessions on the second Friday of each month from 3:00-5:30
