Daycare Worker

Imago Dei Care is a five-day-a-week Christian daycare for infants and preschoolers. We provide a loving, biblically based, and Christ-centered environment where children can flourish physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially, and spiritually through age-appropriate science-based developmental strategies. Daycare workers should naturally exude the Christian character traits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22, 23) and a passion for nurturing and educating children.

Qualifications:

• General Requirments:

-Age - 18 years or older

-Screening - Fingerprinting and criminal background check

-Education - High school diploma or equivalent

*Preferred (optional) - Partial or completed Child Development Associates or equivalent childhood certificate or degree

• Physical Requirments:

-Mobility - ability to crawl, walk, run, stoop, and move quickly 

-Strength - ability to lift 35 lbs.

-Visual-Auditory-Verbal - ability to see, hear, and speak continually

• Essential Skills

-Eagerness to learn and improve

-Patience in interacting with difficult people and situations

-Organization, cleanliness, and general neatness

-Optimistic attitude

-Creativity

-Multitasking

-Proficiency with basic technology (apps, internet, etc.)

-Punctuality

Responsibilities:

-Basic childcare - scheduled feeding, changing, and attentive supervision

-Teaching - teach assigned curriculum in a fun and engaging manner

-Interaction - actively participate in and encourage interactive playtime

-Class Management - effectively oversee and direct multiple children

-Cleaning - maintain required classroom sanitation standards

-Communication - keep parents apprised of activities throughout the day

-Professionalism - exhibit excellence in appearance, conversation, etc.
