Non-Profit Overview
Kesem is a nationwide non-profit dedicated to serving children affected by a parents' cancer. Our chapter, the Kesem Berkeley chapter, serves over 200 families in the Bay Area. Our main program is a summer camp dedicated to giving these children a space to find community and to just be kids! All of our programming, including Camp Kesem, is completely free for our families and we as a chapter are dedicated to fundraising and volunteering to ensure that can happen.
Position Description
Kesem Berkeley is currently recruiting Nurses for our Health and Wellness Team (HWT). Our camp dates are July 27th - August 1st for Session 1 and August 3rd - August 8th for Session 2. which will be held at Del Oro Campsite in Nevada City, CA.
Camp nurses are responsible for dispensing daily medication, as instructed by each camper's physician, and for addressing any health emergencies that may come up over the course of the week. All applicants must be either a Nurse Practitioner, RN or LPN/LVN and hold a license (or temporary license) to practice in California. All potential candidates will undergo a background check and interview process. Compensation and travel expense reimbursement are available and will be discussed during the interview.
