Project Summary
This position will support Volunteer Services, specifically the recruitment and placement of special event volunteers at multiple sites across Minnesota. The intern will work with site managers and coordinators, and directly with volunteers. They will be encouraged to attend a few events during their time.

Responsibilities
Special Events Process: prepare recruitment materials for Special Events. Write Opportunity Descriptions and Confirmation Emails for Events, based on information provided by MNHS staff. Contribute to the design of a volunteer recognition program, and work to implement it.
General Administrative Support: Assist with volunteer recruitment and placement, including updating opportunity descriptions on the MNHS website. Work in the volunteer CRM database to pull reports, including email lists for the Volunteer Services Newsletter. Interview four volunteers and write "Volunteer Spotlights" for the newsletter.
Attend at least four Special Events (scheduled around the intern’s availability) and get to know volunteers.

Relationship builder, good customer service, someone who takes initiative, likes to work with people.
Knowledge Intern is Expected to Gain
Intern will gain or grow skills in database management, basic website maintenance, and the Google Suite. They will learn how different MNHS departments and sites work together. They will also learn about project design and delivery. They'll learn about relationship building, volunteer placement, and program evaluation.
