JC-482904 - Associate Governmental Program Analyst

CDPH's responsibilities include infectious disease control and prevention, food safety, environmental health, laboratory services, patient safety, emergency preparedness, chronic disease prevention and health promotion, family health, and vital records and statistics. CDPH also works to reduce health and mental health disparities among vulnerable and underserved communities to achieve health equity throughout California.

The Office of Legal Services (OLS) within CDPH partners with our program clients and others to provide creative and effective legal solutions to support, protect, and advance the health and well-being of all Californians. OLS is comprised of five legal teams and an administrative support team. This position will be working under Regulations, Privacy, and Special Projects team.

The California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) Office of Legal Services (OLS) is recruiting to fill a Permanent, Full-Time Associated Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) position on the Regulations, Privacy, and Special Projects team, located within OLS in Sacramento.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently maintains and tracks databases and spreadsheets pertaining to the more difficult and complex proposed regulation packages; updates and maintains elements of the regulations website; queries and develops individual regulations reports as requested; and schedules and coordinates internal and external regulations meetings. Additionally, the AGPA position involves reviewing and analyzing proposed regulations to ensure that they meet the requirements of the California Administrative Procedure Act (APA), while providing technical advice and consultation to Departmental program staff.
