Overview:
Are you a law student interested in real-world legal innovation? This internship is a unique opportunity to work on a live case study, navigate regulatory frameworks, and help shape a business model that blends transportation, entertainment, and compliance.
As our Legal Research Intern, you’ll work alongside our executive team to analyze the legality of alcohol sales, draw comparisons to industries like airlines and alcohol delivery apps (e.g., DoorDash), and potentially assist in laying the groundwork for policy advocacy or lobbying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research state and federal laws related to alcohol sales in commercial transportation
- Explore legal loopholes, grey areas, and compliance opportunities
- Investigate how companies like Grizzly and airlines legally sell alcohol
- Provide legal memos or summaries of findings with references
- Advise on next steps, such as license acquisition, vendor partnerships, or lobbying needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently studying Law, Public Policy, Pre-Law, or a related field
- Strong research and writing skills
- Interest in entertainment law, transportation law, or startup innovation
- Ability to work independently and think creatively within legal frameworks
- Prior experience with legal writing, research databases, or case analysis is a plus
