AI Communications Training Intern

The Comms Support Group is a startup on a mission to empower corporate communications teams to harness the power of artificial intelligence.

We’re looking for a smart, curious, and tech-savvy AI Communications Training Intern to support the development of our training programs. You’ll work directly with the founder to turn concepts into engaging, easy-to-follow content—including AI-generated training videos, toolkits, and testing guides. You’ll also explore new AI tools and evaluate them for their usefulness in communications workflows.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about AI who wants to apply their skills in a real-world setting with creative freedom and a meaningful mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and evaluate various AI tools for use cases such as content creation, research, and video production.
  • Assemble suggested prompts for each use case, pulling from founder’s library of best practices and by integrating learnings from AI tool testing.
  • Summarize findings and recommendations in clear, structured formats.
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to brainstorm and refine content ideas.
  • Write training materials, toolkits, and step-by-step guides to help communications professionals understand and apply AI in their work.
  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Sora, Runway, Descript, Synthesia, etc.) to produce training videos and playbooks.

Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated interest and experience using generative AI tools (e.g., language models, video generators, image creators).
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simply.
  • Experience with writing, video creation, or instructional design a plus (but not required).
  • Self-starter with strong organization and time management skills.
  • Creative thinker who enjoys experimenting with new technologies.

What You'll Gain

  • Real-world experience in the rapidly evolving AI and communications space.
  • Portfolio of content and videos showcasing your work.
  • Exposure to how startups and communications teams think about training, technology adoption, and innovation.
  • Mentorship and career support throughout the internship from the founder, a corporate communications executive with 25 years of experience at companies including Target, Weber Shandwick (PR agency) and Polaris.
