Social Media Intern Business Focus Summer and Fall 2025 and Winter 2026
Prior to starting this UNPAID internship, you must contact your internship coordinator or faculty advisor at your university or college to see if this position meets the requirements for academic credit. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU GRADUATED.
Ideally, this is for more than one semester. The internship begins December 15th.
The social media intern’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the LinkedIn account of the business by engaging, posting daily, and ensuring the page is relevant, consistent, and interesting. This might require extensive research into the brand's assets.
- Manage Reddit..it is a large platform to be monitored. Engage with the bridal communities and various groups.
- Research and focus on SEO and how the brand can improve. Share your results with the social media manager and blog writer to ensure they are fully educated in the inner workings.
- Manage YouTube channel..it is currently not public and needs to be. There are videos on the website and elsewhere that need to be uploaded.
- Engage and participate on wedding Facebook groups
- Engage on all social media channels on a daily basis.
- Research follower analysis and engage with the new ones. Research trends to see what makes a follower behave and why.
- Research podcasts and pitch to women’s entrepreneurship, weddings, lifestyle, etc.
- Assist the social media manager with content creation, as needed.
- Create other projects as we develop the internship.
- Minimum 10-15 hours a week for two consecutive semesters or more.
For social media: You should be a skilled, tech-savvy writer who can create appealing, insightful posts that will reach and grow our audience and drive up engagement.
Work for academic credit and extraordinary experience. Potential to be hired afterward if you are a senior.
Other requirements:
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
- Creativity and adaptability.
- Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
- Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, MS Office, and SEO keywords.
- College student achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Supervision, mentorship, and guidance will be done by the founder/CEO and social media person.
The internship is highly rewarding, fulfilling, and productive and is of the highest standard of education in digital marketing, PR, journalism, and content creation.
Location requirements: None. If living in New York City, the opportunity to do some work in person (shoot videos, attend weddings)
