 Internship Opportunity: Web Designer Intern (WordPress Focused)
Location: Phoenix, AZ | Part-Time | In-Person

Are you ready to bring websites to life and help build digital experiences that matter? We’re on the hunt for a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Web Designer Intern who’s passionate about design and experienced in WordPress.

Join our team and gain hands-on experience building, updating, and optimizing websites for real clients and creative projects.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and update web pages using WordPress
  • Customize WordPress themes, layouts, and plugins to match brand identity
  • Assist in wireframing, prototyping, and UI/UX design development
  • Upload and optimize media content (images, videos, graphics) for performance
  • Collaborate with our content, branding, and media teams to ensure visual cohesion
  • Maintain and test websites across multiple browsers and devices
  • Assist in basic SEO setup (meta tags, titles, alt tags, URL structure)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues or bugs

 

🛠️ Requirements:

  • Basic to intermediate experience with WordPress (front-end design focus)
  • Strong understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Familiar with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow design briefs
  • Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

💡 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Elementor, Divi, or other popular WordPress page builders
  • Basic knowledge of web accessibility and responsive design
  • Experience with site speed optimization and plugins
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) best practices
  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals

 

🗓️ Internship Details:

  • 10–15 hours per week, flexible schedule
  • Must be able to commit for a minimum of 12 weeks
  • Hybrid schedule with some in-person collaboration at our Phoenix studio
