AI Developer & Tech Trainer Intern

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Development Intern to support our AI platform development team. This internship is ideal for Computer Science or Software Engineering students looking to gain hands-on experience building and scaling AI-driven applications in education. This role consists of approximately 60% AI development and 40% tech training responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support frontend and backend development of Knodemy's AI-powered learning platform
     
  • Collaborate with senior developers to integrate AI models and APIs into web-based interfaces
     
  • Assist with testing, debugging, and optimizing code across various devices and platforms
     
  • Contribute to documentation, UI/UX discussions, and product roadmap planning
     
  • Provide occasional technical support for K–12 program delivery
     

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

     
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and familiarity with frameworks like React or Vue

     
  • Experience or interest in backend tools like Node.js, Python, or Firebase

     
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies and integration with APIs (OpenAI, HuggingFace, etc.) is a plus

     
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

     
  • Eagerness to learn, solve problems, and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment
     

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a personal laptop with a working mic and camera

     
  • Reliable internet connection for hybrid/remote collaboration

     
  • Must be based in or able to commute to the San Francisco Bay Area

     
  • Availability for 15–25 hours/week during the internship term
