Finding a Better Place: One Man’s Journey to Reignite Human Connection is a feature-length documentary chronicling Stephen Wich’s emotional travel, the creation and gifting of his trackable book at Burning Man, and the global movement of human reconnection that follows.

Role & Responsibilities
- Co-direct and shoot Steve’s journey: U.S., Europe, Burning Man
- Capture real-time gifting, reader reactions, temple burn, reflections
- Collaborate on narrative structure and editing
- Support post-production strategy: festival submissions, social content
- Full creative input—help shape the film’s voice, tone, and aesthetic

What we have: 
Finding a Better Place: One Man’s Journey to Reignite Human Connection is a feature-length documentary chronicling Stephen Wich’s emotional and spiritual transformation as he launches a global movement rooted in truth, dialogue, and ritual. From intimate conversations across America and Europe to the symbolic gifting of a trackable novel at Burning Man 2025, the film captures the birth of KillDay: The Omega Protocol—a physical book passed hand to hand, tracked across the globe, and given freely in the spirit of human trust.

But this is more than a literary experiment. As the book spreads, so does BetterPlace.co—a digital “truth engine” designed to restore honest conversation, human civility, and intentional community in an era dominated by algorithmic division. The documentary weaves together personal healing, cultural resistance, and technological reimagining into a cinematic call for something deeper: a Better Place.

Ideal Candidate
- Emerging filmmaker or recent film school graduate
- Passion for human stories and ritual-driven documentaries
- Comfortable shooting on the road and in challenging environments
- Owns or can access documentary-grade camera and audio gear
- Ability to commit to travel and Burning Man in August 2025
- Eager for co-director credit and portfolio-building experience
