Overview
The National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) is seeking two sharp, highly organized undergraduate interns for the Fall 2025 semester to support the planning and execution of multiple professional conferences, including our flagship Annual Conference (February 9–13, 2026 in San Diego, CA) and two regional conferences in the fall.

This is an ideal role for students interested in events, marketing, hospitality, communications, or nonprofit management. The internship is for school credit and includes a $250 stipend.

Events You’ll Support

  • Southeast Regional Conference – Greenville, SC | September 8–9, 2025 (remote support only)
  • Northeast Regional Conference – Burlington, VT | November 3–4, 2025 (remote support only)
  • Annual Conference – San Diego, CA | February 9–13, 2026 (on-site support required)

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with conference planning, including event schedules, speaker needs, exhibitor logistics, and sponsorship/exhibitor fulfillment (benefits and sponsored item creation)
  • Track registrations, payments, materials orders, and hotel details using organized Google Sheets systems.
  • Anticipate needs, flag potential issues, and help create efficient solutions before problems arise.
  • Help plan conference receptions, meals, and other on-site activities with a logistics and customer service focus.
  • Create branded materials (program books, signage, attendee packets) in Canva.
  • Draft clear, professional writing for social media, email campaigns, and conference materials.
  • Provide weekly registration and marketing reports to help guide next steps in event marketing campaigns.
  • Support on-site conference needs: registration desk, attendee check-in, badge and bag stuffing, signage, and room setup.
  • Communicate with hotel staff for AV, catering, room layout, and scheduling.
  • Place and track orders with Staples, FedEx, Conquest Graphics, and other vendors.
  • Run errands and respond to last-minute needs with flexibility and efficiency — reliable transportation is required.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Proven success with creating and managing social media content for events and/or non-profit organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and problem-solve independently
  • Clear, professional writing skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in a team and communicating with a wide range of professionals
  • Ability to stay efficient and calm in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (especially Sheets), Canva, and social media platforms
  • An interest in marketing, logistics, events, hospitality, or nonprofit leadership
  • Must be pursuing undergraduate credit and have reliable transportation during Jan–Feb.

Internship Details

  • Term: August 11, 2025 – February 27, 2026
  • Location: Remote, with on-site work required in San Diego February 7–13, 2026
  • Time Commitment:
    • ~10-15 hours/week (August–December)
    • ~15–20 hours/week (January–February)
    • Full-time on-site support during the Annual Conference
  • Compensation: $250 stipend + academic credit (coordinated with your school)
