What I liked
I really like my mentor! She is so supportive and professional. It is my first internship and I am nervous about whether I can get things done correctly and efficiently. I learn a lot from her ways of working and her tactics in communication with senior leaders and clients.
The corporate culture here is also welcoming and warm. People in Weber have high passion for their job and they all work hard to gain positive comments from clients and try to maintain goog relationships with clients so that we can have more retainers.
What I wish was different
I wish I can get the chance to travel to other places due to work. And I wish I can know more about the organization's structure and get to know more senior members of the company.
Advice
Be humble in the internship. Try to observe what your mentor and leaders are doing, learn from their good characteristics, and learn how to be professional.

Corporate Intern
June - July 2017 • New York City, NY
What I liked
It was an incredibly immersive experience even though it was a large company. I did real work that was used by our clients and felt like I was an integral part of each of the client teams I worked on.
What I wish was different
I wish the program had lasted longer–I would have gotten way more comfortable in the position at an earlier time if I had started in May rather than June, for example.
Advice
Always be open to new opportunities. The practice area I interned in was not my first choice, but HR recommended it for me and I ended up loving it. I also did a lot of work during the internship for clients that I wasn't necessarily assigned to, but that work provided diverse experience for me.

Public Relations Intern
September - December 2017 • Dallas, TX
What I liked
This internship is very hands-on and challenging. I work on local and national media outreach and produce several media scan reports a week.
What I wish was different
It would have been less stressful if I worked with more interns. There are only two of us and the work load is substantial. I would have preferred to get paid a lot more for the amount of work I do.
Advice
Be prepared to sharpen your time management skills, learn your DMA's and become familiar with how to scan all the top tier publications.
