I enjoyed the variety of different positions and working with the experienced staff at the track. The Indy 500 race was also very exciting.
What I wish was different
I wish the weather had been better suited for the occasion.
Advice
The internship was a great experience, provided many different functions of the track. I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in the sport.

What I liked
My input was taken seriously and I was able to work on projects that ended up in production where real users would benefit from my work.
What I wish was different
I wish I had had a longer summer to be there. Sometimes I needed more clear instructions, but my boss and I have worked on that.
Advice
Even if a company does not look like it may be a good fit for you, go to the interview. You never know what company will end up as your top choice.

The job allowed me to work outside, which was nice.
I was able to participate in the setup and takedown of the Indianapolis 500.

I wish that they would have been more clear with the job description.

You will be performing a lot of manual labor.

What I liked
The atmosphere was incredible. Going to work each day with people that loved IMS at much as myself made the learning experience a lot more enjoyable.
What I wish was different
Nothing that I can think of off the top of my head. I loved absolutely every minute of my internship and I think Butler prepared myself well for this learning adventure.
Advice
Don't feel bad to ask questions if you don't know what to do. That is what internships are there to help you with. People want to see you grow and succeed in order to move on to the next chapters in life.
