What I wish was different
Nobody likes cleaning bathrooms
Advice
Not for someone who doesn't like the outdoors/ isn't looking for a job with a little manual labor. Great for someone who likes being outside, hiking trails or just wants some variety in their daily routine sometimes.
Wear sunscreen or be prepared to burn. Gonna be in direct sunlight minimum of 3 or so hours a day, 8 hours a lot of the time.

I enjoyed the hands-on experience I had with ODNR assisting with Stream Quality Monitoring right in my hometown.
What I wish was different
Nothing, it was awesome!
Advice
I would highly recommend experiencing this low-skill volunteer work with any state's Department of Natural Resources. Learning about the effects of stream impairments can really open your eyes.
