What I liked

Friendly co-workers and clients were nice. Work was pretty simple and easy to understand.

What I wish was different

The hours were long and late at night cuz I could only work after classes.

Advice

Everything was really good. My experience at Loft was fun and allowed me to work with nice people. One piece of advice would be that you need to work efficiently and sometimes at a fast pace but sometimes it may be slow so you need to keep yourself on track and self motivated.

I loved the staff I worked with! I learned so much from them about merchandising, conversion rates, sales and customer service. We formed a great team and work was always fun.

What I wish was different

I wish I had more time to learn the new register systems.

Advice

I would highly recommend a retail job if you want to pursue any field in business. It's pretty much the base for the customer facing part of any business and is extremely important to understand when making any supply chain, technology or promotional decisions.

What I liked

I liked that i got to engage with real life people and I could learn how to interact with different personalities. I also liked that I learnt different ways to style people for different occasions.

What I wish was different

I wish it wasn't in a pandemic. The pandemic made my experience different because I didn't get the full experience.

Advice

I would advice that although people think retail is hard and stressful, there's a lot to take out of it. Firstly engaging and getting to know different people opens your min up to different things. If you're interesting in the fashion world it is a good entry way into learning about fabrics, cuts, shapes and fit. It is a good way to learn how clothes works on different body types.
