I loved being able to work with the nurses and learn new skills. I was able to figure out where I wanted to work when I graduate.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have shadowed other units within the hospital.
Advice
Even if you don't get place on the unit you wanted, this is still a GREAT experience and you learn so much from it.

What I liked
I gained experience in the nursing field which I will apply not only working there as a nursing assistant but also working as a registered nurse upon graduation.
What I wish was different
I wish that I could have picked up more than 32-36 hours in a week.
Advice
I would recommend this experience to anyone in nursing school to become a registered nurse and to make sure you apply to the floor on which you would like to work for the best chance to work their following graduation and passing of the NCLEX.

I love working where I do! It has helped me really learn valuable skills I hope will help me in the future as a nurse. The staff always wants to teach me new things and talking with patients has taught me everyone communicates in different ways (especially when they don't feel well).

What I liked
I liked that I was able to get a hands-on experience in a field that I loved. I got 3 observation days along with working there for the summer so I was able to see many different parts of the hospital.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been a little closer to my house because my commute was longer than I would have liked; however, the experience I got from being there made it worth it.
Advice
One thing I would share about my experience is that you have to make the most of what you are given and take ever opportunity you get.
