I like that I can work whenever I want as much or as little as I need to.
What I wish was different
I did not like that they were pulling our tips for a very long time but I'm happy that they have now changed that. I do wish the what's higher though.
Advice
I do not do this job if you do not have an economical car.

I liked the flexibility of hours and freedom to pursue jobs in different location over the period of one summer.
What I wish was different
I wish the wages would be slightly higher and that DoorDash would provide all of its tips to its drivers instead of taking a portion of the tip.
Advice
Try to only pursue deliveries that are during peak pay hours and/or very busy hours to ensure a steady flow of deliveries.

What I liked
The flexibility to create my own schedule was a big bonus and it was also convenient that had the opportunity to work in whatever city I happened to be in.
What I wish was different
The pay was job-based and there were times you got a delivery that required you to go across town to pick up the food then delivery and you only receive a small fee.
Advice
It's a great opportunity to gain customer service experience as well as time management skills. The pay is not enough for a primary source of income, good spending money.

I love the flexibility of working with my own schedule and the ability to accept or decline any orders for any reason.
What I wish was different
Sometimes the app will crash, but I understand this will happen.
Advice
Working for DoorDash is great, you need to track your miles while driving because you will have to pay taxes at the end of the year. Tracking your miles will give you a huge deduction because you are using your own car for work. I recommend using the app called "Stride".

I really enjoyed being my own boss and working on my own schedule. It allowed me to be flexible and I had plenty of time to enjoy my summer.

I wish that I worked during lunch hours as well, because I would have made double the money.
Advice
Don't do a delivery job if your car isn't gas efficient.

Being a Dasher is an extremely flexible job. Therefore, I had a chance to pick my own schedule and choose when and where I wanted to work.
What I wish was different
I wish that restaurant pick up time had been more accurate because order would take over 15 minutes to get ready sometimes.
Advice
If you want a job that is flexible and also pays a fairly good amount while attending school, DoorDash is the way to go. A bonus is that you will often get promotional events that help bring in more money.
