The internship gave me experience in Microsoft Office tools and strengthened my interpersonal communication skills. I worked in youth programming to market tournaments, programming, and summer camps.
What I wish was different
This internship also has a sales-focused internship. They have different opportunities within the organization. Once COVID hit, my work became limited, but I was looking forward to working closely with the Pro-Mencace Team.
Advice
Have ideas on what you want to gain from the experience. They will cater to what you hope to gain. My supervisors were very open to new ideas and are very flexible.

gameday intern
May - August 2019 • Des Moines, IA
What I liked
I loved being able to be apart of what made the game happen. It was so fun to go out set up the different banners and all the things that help make the game possible and enhance the fan experience.
What I wish was different
It was annoying to see other interns not doing their job at times just hanging out not doing any work which could lead to longer days.
Advice
Be aware and be flexible there will be times where things seem hectic, but enjoy the ride. The days will be long, but it is well worth it.

What I liked
I loved the fast paced environment! It gave me a good idea of what the sports industry is like outside of the classroom. I also got to meet a lot of great people with all the other interns, my supervisors, and the team.
