Summary/About the opportunity:
Ceridian is looking for self-starting, highly motivated Associate Product Designers to design useful, usable, and desirable products for the millions of workers who rely on them every day. HR and workforce management tools should demonstrate the same care and craft of consumer software, designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices.
Product Designers work across a range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, though to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and to delivery of final designs. Strong communication skills, particularly an ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions and an ability to accept feedback are keys for success. Our design team consists of the following spaces: Mobile Apps, Design System and Shared Experiences. 
Primary Responsibilities/ What you’ll get to do:
  • Design and re-design product experiences across our HR and Workforce Management offerings. This may include native mobile apps, including iOS and Android, or contributing to the Ceridian Design System
  • Learn to conduct upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users, with the support and guidance of UX Researchers
  • Take design direction from Product Designers and Design Managers, ensuring your efforts roll-up into a coherent whole
  • Learn best practices for common design problems
  • Collaborate with other designers and your cross-functional team to work through design and product challenges
  • Present work and communicate design decisions to the design team and the cross-functional team, including product managers and engineers
  • Ideate and prototype to explore different options and develop your skills for communicating your rationale
  • Advocate for a human-centered approach, including Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
  • Be a part of a fast growing, fun Design Team!
Qualifications/Skills and experience we value:
  • Passion for creating successful products on native mobile OR creating a design system
  • Comfortable taking direction from senior designers and accepting feedback
  • Eager to broaden and develop your design skills
  • Familiarity with user-centered and human-centered design approaches
  • Desire to work in complex systems with multiple audiences and complicated workflows
  • Good communication, presentation and collaboration skills
  • Figma
