Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program Intern
Internship Objective:
The selected intern for this placement will quantify and qualify applicable mitigation activities for the grant recipients of the Program. This project will require eloquent communication with mitigation managers on a national level in order identify and analyze the applicability of local mitigation construction strategies.
Responsibilities:
The selected intern for this placement will quantify and qualify applicable mitigation activities for the grant recipients of the Program. This project will require eloquent communication with mitigation managers on a national level in order identify and analyze the applicability of local mitigation construction strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Determine the viability of each activity through pricing the construction efforts.
- Write a comprehensive document to provide a robust variety of options for grant recipients to expend their funding in activities that yield the greatest benefit to their communities.
- Update HLMP presentations/training
- Attend (when available) meetings with stakeholders during business hours
- Additional research as needed
