Video Production Intern - Using Interviews of World War II Veterans

The Internship:

We are offering an internship working with video interviews of World War II veterans, and using footage taken while travelling with World War II veterans to sites sacred to them. We have well over 500 hours of interview and B-roll footage. Our goal is to produce:

- 1-2 minute video clips for the website and YouTube,

- short promotional videos of our work for social media,

- a mini-documentary (5-8 minutes long) about healing, peace, and war.

We can tailor this internship to your interests and needs.  This internship is virtual/remote, so we are flexible with the number of hours you work per week, as well as when you work. Starting and ending dates are flexible. We can tailor-design the internship to your specific interests, especially if you would like credit.

However, we expect to be in regular phone contact with you to offer guidance, resolve problems, and receive your feedback. We will require you to meet with us per Skype for one hour per week (potentially with multiple interns) to review your progress and discuss what you've learned, which direction you'd like to move in, and your ideas.

Requirements:

Successful completion of video editing courses (including basics such as use of title slide cards, fades, etc), and an interest in World War II veterans, and their journeys towards peace.
