Electrical Engineer

Seeking qualified Electrical Engineers in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area. We are a leading engineering firm providing a range of professional services in electrical engineering for government, healthcare and institutional buildings. The candidate would be responsible for designing government building electrical systems including plan layouts, schedules and shop drawing reviews. Will also evaluate and quantify existing facilities systems. As a member of our team you may:

· Design of electrical systems

· Performing calculations

· Assist in Equipment selection and specification

· Construction Drawings, construction administration

· Interfacing with clients and attending meetings as required

· Site visits to verify that the work complies with and verify existing conditions

· Travel up to approximately 6 times a year

· Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at a time

· Strong Revit & AutoCAD experience required

· Excellent knowledge of Electrical Design fundamental

· LEED Certification desired, or experience in LEED design principles

· 1-4 years of electrical design

· Experience with electrical power, lighting, low-voltage, communications, and related systems.

· Experience with emergency generators and physical plant systems preferred

· Be able to produce work for construction set drawings, assist in calculations, specifications

· Federal and/or federal healthcare experience preferred

· Experience with non-traditional contract vehicles such as design/build

· Strong verbal/written communication skills; strong organizational skills

· Excellent in working with a team in open studio environment

· Driven individual that takes initiative

· Good report writing and interpersonal skills. 

·  Excellent communication skills and ability to present clear and technically sound engineering strategies

·  Eligibility for a clearance with the US government
