Advancement Intern

The Advancement Intern will be part of a small, passionate team supporting the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Working primarily with the Advancement Operations Manager, the Intern will assist with database management, operations, special events, concert support, prospect research, and donor stewardship. The successful candidate will work approximately 20-25 hours per week (flexible) from August 2026 to February 2027 (until the completion of 400 hours), gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of fundraising. They will play an important role in improving the effectiveness of the Chorale’s donor cultivation and stewardship efforts. This is an on-site role at The Music Center in downtown Los Angeles. Attendance at Master Chorale concerts and events will be required.

Wage: $18.47 per hours, 400 hours total

Responsibilities include:
Provide general administrative support for the Advancement department, such as scheduling, filing, and mailing.   Assist with logistics for Advancement events, including data and guest management, and supporting coordination with The Music Center, vendors and contractors. Provide hands-on help during events. Assist with set-up and tear-down of membership table at concerts and interact with and assist donors and audience members during concerts. Be or become proficient with Tessitura, the Master Chorale’s patron-management system, entering gifts, pulling reports, etc.     Be or become proficient with iWave, the Chorale’s donor prospect research software, and assist with prospect research, organization, and analysis. Coordinate and assist with donor communications on behalf of the VP of Advancement and other department staff. Help to structure and/or implement donor-member benefits.   Provide donor ticketing services in collaboration with the Box Office. Prepare meeting materials and take minutes.   Prepare and submit expense reports for VP, Advancement and other department staff. Create and update comprehensive philanthropic profiles for donors and prospects.  Other duties as assigned. 

Eligibility for ​LA County Arts Internship Program: 2026 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County.
