Summary 


This internship is designed to provide practical experience in a corporate human resources environment at Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (TAEC). The HR Intern will apply knowledge gained through academic coursework while supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment support, onboarding coordination, HR systems administration, and departmental projects.

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support TAEC’s people and business operations. The intern will gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions and play a key role in supporting efficient and compliant HR processes within a global organization.



 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining and updating records in HRIS database, Learning Management System and SharePoint.
  • Help organize and maintain personnel files (electronic and paper), and perform accurate audits, and clean-up.
  • Support employee onboarding including document collection and orientation training tracking.
  • Assist with coordinating job postings and candidate communications.
  • Support the preparation of HR reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Assist with tracking employee training, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with special projects related to AI and HR initiatives. 
  • Always maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and HR Communication materials.
  • Provide general administrative support, such as filing, scanning, and document preparation.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor. 
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HR systems is a plus.

 

Education:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Recent graduates preferred. 

 

Duration: 6 months

Salary: $20-$22/hour
