Office of Cannabis Management Student Assistant

Description:

The mission of OCM is to ensure New York’s medical, hemp, and adult-use cannabis markets are built and regulated on commitments to equity, sustainability, opportunity, and public health. OCM is seeking a student assistant to work with the Special Projects Unit (SPU) on the following roles and responsibilities.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Heavily assist the Director of SPU with the public website redesign project, including a current content audit and implementing improvements based on findings to improve the audience experience in design, navigation, usability and accessibility.
  • Assist in SPU and coordinate with the Workforce Engagement and Employee Development team with employee engagement activities and engagement surveys.
  • Assist SPU with organizational change management activities related to the upcoming Salesforce Project.
  • Assist when needed with the administration of the agency’s intranet. This may include working with the SPU Team with reviewing and monitoring content; incorporating improvements, updating training material, and analyzing intranet analytics to make suggestions for improved engagement. 
  • Drafts documents for review by subject matter experts within the agency to help with the design content for stakeholders.
  • Conducts research on the best practice of creating and navigating intranet sites.
