Grant Writer - Fundraiser & Project Management Intern

 

Location: Remote / Hybrid
Type: Internship (Part-time / Full-time)
Duration: 3–6 months

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated Grant Writer - Fundraiser & Project Management Intern to support fundraising and grant application efforts & Project Management. The intern will assist in identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, submissions, and contributing to donor outreach strategies, as well as Project Management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of organizational programs, fundraising strategies, partnerships, and goals to create strong grant proposals that help support our organizational fundraising targets.
  • Research new grant and funding opportunities that align with our mission, vision, and values.
  • Prepare grant proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, incorporating feedback, and obtaining approvals.
  • Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone.
  • Support preparation of fundraising pitches and donor presentations 
  • Maintain a database of donors, partners, and funding opportunities 
  • Help draft emails, reports, and fundraising communications 
  • Contribute to fundraising strategy and campaign ideas 
  • Enter and monitor data to maintain a list of new grant opportunities, constantly ensuring information is up-to-date

Requirements:

  • Project management motivation and certain experience 
  • Strong writing and communication skills (English required; other languages are a plus) 
  • Interest in NGOs, development, Peace and Value education, or socio-educational impact work 
  • Good research and analytical skills 
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and IT skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn 
  • Flexible team player with a positive attitude
  • Collaborative and open to feedback
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (eg, Zoom).

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

 

  • Experience in academic writing, research, or proposal writing & possible in project management. 
  • Previous experience or coursework related to grant writing or nonprofit fundraising is a plus.
  • Familiarity with grant databases and funding resources.
