Job Overview
Ohio Sports Network (OSN) is seeking ambitious and motivated college students to join our team as Summer Advertising Sales Representatives. This commission-only position offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in sports media, sales, marketing, and business development.
Representatives will be responsible for identifying and securing advertising sponsors for Ohio Sports Network broadcasts, digital platforms, and special events. This role is ideal for students who enjoy building relationships, networking with local businesses, and developing professional sales skills while earning uncapped commission based on performance.
Successful candidates will have the flexibility to work independently, create their own sales opportunities, and help support the growth of high school sports coverage throughout Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop relationships with local businesses throughout Ohio
- Present advertising and sponsorship opportunities to potential clients
- Conduct phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings with business owners and decision-makers
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors
- Follow up with leads and negotiate advertising agreements
- Work closely with OSN leadership to create customized sponsorship packages
- Represent Ohio Sports Network in a professional manner at networking and community events
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers
- Interest in sports, media, marketing, sales, or broadcasting
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Prior sales experience is a plus but not required
