Professional Auto Detailer

Flexible Hours/Days: Starting part-time at around 20 hours to full time at 40 hours.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Job description:

Location: 9220 Provost Rd, NW, Silverdale, 98383.

A Little Bit About Us: We are an ambitious team on a mission to become Washington State's premier automotive care provider. We believe in quality over quantity, which means every vehicle that leaves our shop represents our commitment to excellence.

We are looking for a Detailer who shares our values of quality and efficiency. This isn't a typical car wash job. We want someone ready to master advanced skills like paint correction, ceramic coatings, and eventually expand into PPF, window tinting, and vinyl wraps. We highly believe in promoting from within with the right people with our career advancement path.

Our Mission: To serve our neighbors with integrity and to be Washington's best car care provider, ensuring every client drives away happier. We bring our whole self to work and have a culture of respect, collaboration, and excellence.

Here's a Taste of Our Benefits:

  • Free lunch and dessert every week (Chosen by the team weekly).
  • Full access to all shop equipment for personal vehicles.
  • Employee discounts on all our services.
  • Paid Training & Certification opportunities.

Why YOU might like working at Apex Auto Pros:

  • The Opposite of "Corporate": We are a small, local business that treats people with authenticity. You aren't a number here; you're a key part of the team.
  • Solo Work: Bring your headphones and listen to music while working independently.
  • Real Growth Pathways: We don't believe in dead end jobs. We believe in promoting from within. For dedicated team members, we offer a direct pathway to become a certified Paint Protection Film (PPF), Window Tint Installer, or Vinyl Wrap installer.
  • Real Team Culture: We work hard, but we keep it light. We take care of our own and value a work environment where you can be yourself.

Where and How You'd Work:

We work in a one-bay shop with two additional detail areas outside under covered canopies.

  • The Elements: This is a hands-on, physically intensive role. You will primarily be working outside (under cover) and must be prepared for the PNW elements, especially rain, cold, and heat.
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday starting at 8:00 AM. Flexible scheduling based on job assignments with the majority of appointments starting at 8AM.

What You'd Do in This Role:

  • The Physical and Tiring Grind: This job is demanding. You will be reaching overhead to clean truck roofs, kneeling to detail wheels, and dealing with pet hair, mold, odors, and staining. You must be comfortable standing for the majority of your shift.
  • The Craft: Perform interior and exterior detailing to our Apex standards.
  • Mobile Work: Do details at a customer’s location (Must have valid driver’s license).

You're Probably a Match If:

  • You Thrive on Regular Feedback: We have extremely high standards, which means quality checks happen on every single car. You don't have an ego. You view constant, constructive feedback not as a personal attack, but as the fastest way to master your craft.
  • You Are Detail-Oriented: You notice what 99% of people miss. If a vent isn't perfect, it bothers you until you fix it.
  • You Are Physically Resilient: You enjoy being active. You don't mind getting your hands dirty, working in the rain, and being on your feet all day.
  • You Value Consistency: You understand that a small team relies on you. You show up on time, follow the process every single time, and deliver a predictable, high-quality result.

What Winning Looks lIke:

  • High-Scoring Quality: Consistently achieving a score of 8.5/10 or higher on all Manager Quality Control checks.
  • High Efficiency Score: You are consistently hitting our allotted times for each detail showcasing high efficiency and memorization of our process.
  • Process Mastery: Memorizing and strictly following the Apex Auto Pros workflow, including knowing the exact use and dilution ratio for every chemical we use.
  • True Independence: Working autonomously without needing micromanagement. You see what needs to be done and do it.
  • Preparedness & Punctuality: Checking your calendar the night before so you show up at your start time with a plan, ready to execute the day's job immediately.

How to Apply: Submit your resume/experience along with a brief paragraph explaining why you prefer hands-on detailing work over a desk job to: apexautoproswa@gmail.com.
