Role Summary
HERS365 is seeking a PR Intern to help strengthen the organization's public presence, community engagement, and external communications. This role is ideal for students interested in public relations, communications, journalism, media relations, or nonprofit outreach.
Responsibilities
- Assist with media outreach and relationship building
- Draft newsletters, press releases, and public announcements
- Support partnership and community engagement initiatives
- Research media contacts and outreach opportunities
- Help promote events, programs, and organizational initiatives
- Track communication and outreach efforts
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and detail-oriented
- Comfortable collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Interest in community engagement and nonprofit work

Communication & Accountability Requirement
Because this is a remote-first internship, consistent communication is required.
Important Note: Interns must be available to attend a recurring 30-minute team status meeting to collaborate with leadership and cross-functional departments, provide project updates, and stay aligned on organizational priorities.
All interns must complete check-ins every:
- Tuesday
- Thursday
- Sunday
Check-ins must be submitted via text, email, or the designated team communication channel and must include:
- Current progress
- Completed tasks
- Upcoming availability
- Any issues, questions, or support needs
- Failure to maintain consistent communication may result in removal from the program.
