Motion Graphic Designer

Fusion is seeking a highly creative, digitally fluent Contract Motion Graphic Designer to help shape and amplify our brand across social media, advertisements, and digital platforms through video. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in visual media and storytelling through formal study or hands-on experience who is eager to grow their portfolio while contributing to impactful, mission-driven storytelling in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment. This position blends content creation, advertising, branding, and social media, supporting multimedia assets that engage audiences, elevate our brand, and drive visibility across channels.

Responsibilities

  • Create on-brand advertisements using our established brand guidelines across digital, social, and web platforms.
  • Edit short-form and long-form video content for campaigns, events, product marketing, and social media.
  • Develop motion graphics, animated assets, and visual effects to support brand storytelling and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to concept, storyboard, and execute multimedia campaigns.
  • Adapt video and motion assets for multiple platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, email, and web.
  • Assist in filming, lighting, audio capture, and production setup for internal and external video shoots.
  • Create engaging social-first content that aligns with current digital trends and platform best practices.
  • Maintain organized project files, templates, and asset libraries across ongoing campaigns.
  • Support event marketing initiatives through recap videos, promotional content, and branded visuals.
  • Help evolve Fusion’s video presence and visual storytelling style across channels.

Preffered Skills

  • Experience with the Adobe Suite and Figma preferred. Comparable motion graphics software also acceptable.
  • Basic understanding of animation principles, typography, pacing, and composition.
  • Familiarity with social media content trends and performance-driven creative.
  • Experience editing branded content, interviews, product videos, or corporate storytelling pieces.
  • Knowledge of audio editing and video optimization workflows.
  • Familiarity with motion design workflows for digital advertising and paid social campaigns.
  • Experience working within established brand systems and creative guidelines.
  • Photography, videography, or 3D/motion experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Video, Graphic, or Communication Design (or other related field).
  • 1+ years of experience in motion graphic production (or equivalent coursework/training) preferred.
  • Portfolio or demo reel showcasing video editing and motion graphic work.
    Experience with Adobe After Effects/Premiere or comparable video editing software.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to balance creativity with deadlines and business objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Confident, personable, and comfortable engaging with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to ask questions.
