Sales Consultant / M&A Sales Professional
This is a paid commission-based role.
We are a fast-growing, high-volume M&A and acquisition advisory firm seeking an experienced sales professional to consult with prospective clients interested in purchasing businesses and engaging professional advisory support throughout the acquisition process.
This role is ideal for a polished closer who thrives in consultative sales environments, can confidently lead strategic conversations, and understands how to guide clients through high-value purchasing decisions.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, graceful and persuasive conversation, strong emotional intelligence, and a proven history of success in sales.
Experience in finance, business acquisitions, consulting, financial advisory, or M&A is highly preferred, though top-performing sales professionals from other industries will also be considered.
Position Overview
The Acquisition Consultant / Closer is responsible for converting qualified leads into paying clients through structured strategy calls, offer presentation, objection handling, and payment collection.
Prospects are individuals actively seeking guidance, advisory services, and support in purchasing businesses, navigating acquisitions, and evaluating opportunities.
This is a performance-driven role where compensation is directly tied to revenue generated and cash collected.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual strategy sessions with qualified prospective clients
- Build trust and credibility with individuals seeking acquisition and consulting support
- Understand client goals, acquisition interests, financial positioning, and timelines
- Present advisory and consulting services aligned with client needs
- Handle objections professionally and guide prospects through the decision-making process
- Close deals and collect payments accurately
- Maintain consistent follow-up with pending or undecided prospects
- Manage pipeline activity and update CRM daily with notes, deal stages, and next steps
- Maintain professionalism and strong communication throughout the client experience
- Consistently meet or exceed sales and conversion expectations
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in sales required
- Strong closing ability and consultative sales experience
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conversational skills
- Comfortable conducting virtual meetings on camera
- Ability to build confidence and trust quickly with prospective clients
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and pipeline management abilities
- Self-motivated, performance-driven, and accountable
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Prior experience in M&A, finance, consulting, business acquisitions, financial advisory, or private equity is a strong plus
- CRM experience preferred
- Professional presence and emotional intelligence required
