Langan has an opening for a Project Accounting Coordinator in our Miami Lakes, FL office. As the successful candidate, you will perform comprehensive project accounting support services for Stockholder groups in our Miami Lakes, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa offices.  Specifically, you will provide financial support including proper project start-up, budget tracking, monthly billing, and collections follow-up from project inception to closeout. You will also perform accounts payable job duties and function as local point of contact for corporate accounting tasks.   

Job Requirements:  

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • 4+ years of previous accounting experience, within a service organization preferred;
  •  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Setup and review contracts with budget and billing terms;
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and clients regarding budgets, contracts, monthly billings, payments, and other project related financial processes;
  • Prepare, review and process high volume of invoices for billing preparation and execution and ensure compliance with contract terms;
  • Maintain records of delinquent accounts and contact clients for collection of payment;
  • Assist in review of Accounts Receivable, budgets, project performance, and identification of the need for change orders;
  • Communicate regularly with the Corporate Accounting Department on relevant status updates and notify of all pertinent information;
  • Assist in the compilation of monthly and annual accounting files for tax filings and financial audits as required;
  • Utilize analytical skills in order to gather and summarize data for reports and resolve problems;
  • Prepare ad hoc billing and project reports upon request;
  • Ability to work independently and within groups;
  • Strong collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills;
  • Sound judgment capability and ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; internet research; and Adobe Professional;
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision is preferred; and,
  • Local candidate preferred.
